Riding House Farm

Riding House Farm is a traditional Derbyshire hill farm rearing beef and sheep on about 140 acres of hill land. It nestles under the Losehill Ridge with wonderful south facing views across the Hope Valley. If you bring your wellies you will be able to see the newborn lambs in Spring, visit the calf house and even feed the hens! There is an abundance of wildlife around especially in our own secluded bluebell wood.

It is a walkers’ paradise with direct access to the footpath network. From your doorstep you can take the footpath directly to Lose Hill Ridge and enjoy another spectacular view over the Edale Valley to the famous Kinder Scout.

David and Denise Matthews have farmed at Riding House for over 40 years. They are the modern day Shepherd and Milkmaid! If needed, they will be on hand to help you make the most of your stay in the Peak District National Park

The view westwards from the farm is to Mam Tor, Derbyshire's famous 'Shivering Mountain.'
