“Home from home.”

Denise and David made us feel very welcome. For us a first to spent a holiday on a farm and we so enjoyed it! The views from the cottage were magnificent. The cottage was very comfortable; everything we needed (and more) was there. Love to come back again.

“Excellent”

Shepherd Cottage is in a beautiful spot, with lovely views down to Castleton. The cottage was spotlessly clean, and our hosts, David and Denise, were exceptionally friendly, kind and helpful.

“Relaxing stay for a long weekend”

We stayed in a beautiful cottage attached to the farmhouse. Well equipped and very quiet and comfortable. 
Easy access to walking routes and local villages of Castleton and Hope. 
Denise and David are very friendly and helpful.

“Absolutely fantastic”

Cosy and charming south-facing cottages that we have now visited 3 times. I guarantee that once you have stayed here you will want to return time and again. 
The scenery is absolutely beautiful. 
The cottages are equipped with everything that you could possibly need. There is a washing machine and dryer available. Outside there are tables and chairs and a gas barbecue, and another small and very pretty garden with benches. You will receive a warm welcome on arrival. This really is the place to stay in beautiful Castleton.

“A really friendly welcome in a splendid location”

The cottage is well equipped with everything you could want and more and is in a stunning surrounding. 

We were given a friendly and generous welcome, and nothing was too much trouble for the owners - we could not have enjoyed our stay

This is a beautiful cottage in an excellent location. The only improvement I can think of would be to have coat hooks by the front door. However because its an original stone cottage this may not be possible. Denise was a very generous host.

Very clean and comfortable. Owners, Denise and David, were friendly and helpful. Amazing location - quiet, and beautiful view over Hope Valley.
